OUR
GOALS
We strive to instill in our children good moral
character. We begin by teaching the morals and values Jesus would
want us to have.
Our children learn to love each other, share with
each other, take care of each other and value the importance of working
with each other to do their best in what they do.
We are eager to build self-esteem in our children by
offering them stability, love, structure, and the ability to succeed in
their school work, projects, and play.

LOCATION
& GENERAL INFORMATION
Holy Spirit of Hope Day Care & Learning Center is
located in the lower valley at 7728
Alameda Ave. (The corner of Alameda Ave.
and Easter, right before Rosedale).
The school is located behind the church. All of our staff is CPR and
First Aide certified, as well as CDA credentials. We accept CCS,
Project ARRIBA Participants, and offer military discounts.
We are owned and operated by Holy Spirit of Hope
Catholic Charismatic Church, with Martha Ortega
serving as our director, and operate our Day School through Holy Spirit of
Hope's Homeschool Ministry. We use English as our primary language;
however our staff is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
Each class room holds no more than state child care
guidelines; with each group having their own instructor/caregiver. We
teach Christian values by praying before each meal, sing Christian songs,
say our morning prayer, and teach children to love and respect themselves
as well as each other. Pastor Robert visits us daily in the morning
and afternoon and always brings smiles and happiness to all the
children. We also teach patriotism by reciting the Pledge of
Allegiance every morning.
If your child will be taking a nap, parents are asked
to bring blankets and pillows for their children every Monday (or the beginning
of the week).

INFANT CARE: (Ages: newborn -
18 months)
Our children are given lots of love and nurturing
during these young years. They are taught simple early motor skills
such as walking, sitting, and standing. Tummy time is also given
during awake time. We play patty cake, sing nursing rhyme songs, play
simple puzzles & games, and read to the children. Each child naps
in his or her own playpen or crib. Our caregiver provides daily
infant reports for each parent. These reports contain information on
how & when they eat, the amount they ate, diaper reports, and general
mood and health, as well as all activities they participate in. There
is also a SIDS prevention nap check list reported daily that records the
status of how each child is sleeping.
|
TODDLER CLASS: (Ages: 18 months
- 2 years old)
We encourage and help with potty training during this
stage. Children play, sing, dance, do puzzles, arts & crafts, and
are read to every day. Healthy dry snacks are provided by the
instructor (morning only); however, parents are welcomed to bring snacks to
give to the children. At this age, children learn how to sit together
and work together as a group and how to work well with others.
Centers are used daily to continue in developing their everyday skills.

|
|
|
AFTER SCHOOL CARE: (Ages: 5 years
old - 13 years old)
We offer transportation for after school children in
neighboring areas. There is a weekly charge for these services that
is in addition to the weekly day care fee. Children have their own
caregiver whom provides activities, help with homework, and other daily
requirements.
