Child Day Care

Holy Spirit of Hope Day Care & Home School is located in the lower valley at 7728 Alameda Ave. (The corner of Alameda Ave. and Easter, near Rosedale). The school is located behind the church. All of our staff is CPR and First Aide certified, as well as CDA credentialed. We accept CCS, Project ARRIBA participants, and offer military discounts.

Each class room holds no more than state child care guidelines; with each group having their own instructor/caregiver. We teach Christian values by praying before each meal, singing Christian songs, saying our morning prayer, and teaching children to love and respect themselves as well as each other. Pastor Robert visits us daily and always brings smiles and happiness to all the children. We also teach patriotism by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance every morning.

We are owned and operated by Holy Spirit of Hope C.O.C.C., with Martha OrtegaĀ  as founder and Barbara Espino serving as the director and operator of our Child Day Care.

Programs & Hours

Infant Care

(New Born - 18 Months)

Our children are given lots of love and nurturing during these young years. They are taught simple early motor skills such as walking, sitting, and standing. Tummy time is also given during awake time. We play patty cake, sing nursing rhyme songs, play simple puzzles & games, and read to the children. Each child naps in his or her own playpen or crib. Our caregiver provides daily infant reports for each parent. These reports contain information on how & when they eat, the amount they ate, diaper reports, and general mood and health, as well as all activities they participate in. There is also a SIDS prevention nap check list reported daily that records the status of how each child is sleeping.

Toddler

(Ages 18 Months ā€“ 2 Years Old)

We encourage and help with potty training during this stage. Children play, sing, dance, do puzzles, arts & crafts, and are read to every day. Healthy dry snacks are provided by the instructor (morning only); however, parents are welcomed to bring snacks to give to the children. At this age, children learn how to sit together and work together as a group and how to work well with others. Centers are used daily to continue in developing their everyday skills.

Preschools Class

(Ages 3 - 4 Years Old)

Children play, sing, dance, do puzzles, arts & crafts, and are read to every day. Healthy dry snacks are provided by the instructor (morning only); however, parents are welcomed to bring snacks to give to the children. At this age, children learn how to sit together and work together as a group and how to work well with others, so they are prepared for kindergarten classes.
Our curriculum includes Language Arts including but not limited to alphabets & phonics, Mathematics, Music, Science, Social Studies, Arts & Crafts, Basic Concepts & Skills, Reading, and Bible. Afternoon activities are provided to continue learning developmental skills and social skills. Our classroom has learning centers that are utilized daily to emphasize our curriculum and guide afternoon activities. We will prepare with the skills necessary to perform well in the next level.

After School Care

(Ages 5 Years Old - 13 Years Old)

We offer transportation for after school children in neighboring areas. There is a weekly charge for these services that is in addition to the weekly day care fee. Children have their own caregiver who provides activities, help with homework, and other daily requirements.
